Egyptian blogger's sentence deals a blow to free speech

An Egyptian court's imprisonment of a blogger last week is another official blow to free speech, according to fellow bloggers and human-rights activists.

"It affects the only space of free speech left in Egypt, which is the Internet and the blogs, and it could possibly hinder what you can write in the future," said a prominent Egyptian who posts in Web logs, or blogs, anonymously under the name Sandmonkey.

An Alexandria court convicted Abdel Kareem Nabil Suleiman, 22, of insulting Islam and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, sentencing him Thursday to four years in prison.
Suleiman, a former student of Al-Azhar University, the Middle East's most respected Sunni religious institution, attacked the university, Muslims and the Egyptian government in his blog.

He accused Al-Azhar of promoting extremism, described Muslims who attacked Christians in Alexandria last year as "savages," and called the companions of the Prophet Muhammed "terrorists" and Mubarak "a dictator."

Palestinians: 'Looting and burning' of Jewish holy sites 'was a great joy'

TEL AVIV – The ruins of two large synagogues in Gush Katif, the evacuated Jewish communities of the Gaza Strip, have been transformed into a military base used by Palestinian groups to fire rockets at Israeli cities and train for attacks against the Jewish state, according to a senior terror leader in Gaza.
When Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in August 2005, it left intact 20 synagogues of the Gush Katif Jewish communities following an Israeli Cabinet decision against demolishing the structures.

Immediately after the Israeli evacuation was completed, Palestinians mobs destroyed most of the Gaza synagogues, including two major synagogues in Neve Dekalim, the largest Gush Katif community. In front of international camera crews, the Palestinians ripped off aluminum window frames and metal ceiling fixtures from the Neve Dekalim synagogues, which were situated close to each other in the center of town. Militants flew the Palestinian and Hamas flags from the structures before mobs burned down the synagogues.

Muslim girls in Thailand’s Narathiwat Province gathered last week inside the remains of their school building, which had burned down less than 24 hours before. Separatist insurgents are suspected of setting the fire.

Some are already calling it war, a brutal Muslim separatist insurgency in southern Thailand that has taken as many as 2,000 lives in three years with almost daily bombings, drive-by shootings, arson and beheadings.

An insurgency is dividing the villages around Pattani by religion.
It is a conflict the government admits it is losing. A harsh crackdown and martial law in recent years seem only to have fueled the insurgency by generating fear and anger and undermining moderate Muslim voices.

A new policy of conciliation in the past four months has been met by increased violence, including a barrage of 28 coordinated bombings in the south that killed or wounded about 60 people on Feb. 18.

“The momentum of violence is now beyond the control of government policy,” said Srisompob Jitpiromsri, a political scientist at Prince of Songkhla University here.

“The separatists can pick and choose the time and place of the violence without any effective resistance from the government,” he said. “They have the upper hand.”

For American culture to continue its Judeo-Christian heritage, it is necessary that we legislate English as the official language.

Those coming into the US from other languages must learn English in order to remain here. The US cannot afford to accommodate itself to every language represented in our society.

Where will it all stop? It will have no end unless English is stipulated as the national, accepted language. We cannot afford to foster confusion for years to come. If we do not act now, that is what will occur.
The American Family Association is communicating with citizenry in an appeal to stipulate “a common language, not ‘diversity,’” in order to create a strong country.

“Recently, the mayor of Nashville vetoed a bill that would have made English the city’s official language. He called the measure ’unconstitutional, unnecessary, and mean-spirited.’

“U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid even called a bill to make English our official language ‘racist.’”

It is frightening that these politically correct leaders play the part of dumb mouth. Yet that is exactly what they are doing as a disservice to the American grassroots.

“A Zogby poll last year showed that 84% say English should be the official language of government operations. The poll also showed that 77% of Hispanics support English as our official language.

“It is time for liberal members of Congress to quit playing politics with the future of all children—U.S. and Immigrant—and follow the lead of 28 states which have made English their official language. Failure for Congress to act will establish a major obstacle for immigrant children as they try to move up in our society.”

Is the US going to rip itself apart? Is it going to invite immigrants to tear our nation apart? Or are level heads going to govern our country’s future?
A common language is necessary for citizens to communicate with each other.

It is fundamental.

This is not a luxury.

It is basic.

Fourth Frenchman dies after Saudi attack

RIYADH (Reuters) - The death toll in a militant attack on French tourists in Saudi Arabia rose to four on Tuesday after a French teenager died from bullet wounds, a hospital doctor said on Tuesday.

The boy's father was among three French expatriates working in Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, who were shot dead during a desert trip on Monday in what appeared to be the first attack by suspected al Qaeda militants on foreigners in three years.

An acquaintance who did not want to be named said the men were machine gunned down in front of the women and children, confirming a report from a security source.
"He (the boy) died from the consequences of his shoulder injury. Part of the bullet was still there. He was bleeding. We carried out an operation but it was no good. He died this morning," Metwakkil Hajjaj told Reuters by telephone from Medina.

He said the teenager was called Mubarak, the Muslim son of a French woman of Moroccan origin.
They were part of a group of nine French nationals living in Riyadh who had been visiting historic sites and camping in the desert in the scenic western region of the vast desert country.

Islamic militants swearing allegiance to al Qaeda launched a violent campaign to topple the U.S.-allied Saudi monarchy in 2003, with suicide bomb attacks on foreigners and government installations, including the oil industry.

Cheney takes refuge in bomb shelter after Afghan blast

Vice President Dick Cheney was whisked into a bomb shelter immediately after a Taliban suicide bomber struck the main American military base he was visiting in Afghanistan on Tuesday.

Up to 14 people were killed, including one U.S. and one South Korean soldier, in the Bagram air base attack which rebels said was aimed at Cheney.
He had been in his room at the base where he had unexpectedly had to stay the night after bad weather forced postponement of his trip to the capital, Kabul, about 60 km (40 miles) away.


"At 10 a.m. I heard a loud boom," Cheney said.
Base authorities sounded a red alert and secret service officials told Cheney there had been a suspected suicide attack.

"They moved me for a relatively brief period of time to one of the bomb shelters nearby," he said. "As the situation settled down and they got a better sense in terms of what was going on, then I went back to my room until it was time to leave."
NATO's death toll in the attack was four, officials said. A Reuters photographer at the scene saw an additional 10 bodies, putting the total at 14. Continued...

Sounding like she had come down with a severe case of Obama-mania, Rice affectionately referred to the Democratic senator - a Foreign Relations Committee member - as a member of "my committee," since she frequently testifies there.

"I think he's very appealing and a great person," she enthused. "He's on my committee. And we've always had good exchanges. I think he's an extraordinary person."

Post 9/11, Islam flourishes among US blacks

ATLANTA: Islam is growing fast among African Americans, who are undeterred by increased scrutiny of Muslims in the United States since the September 11 attacks, according to imams and experts.

Before I post this article, If there are any African American Muslims that happen across this blog, explain to me, why you would want to join a "Religion" that is in the midst of a genocide in Darfur against.....

You do realize that Africans are still being sold as sex slaves by Arabs don't you ??????

Converts within the black community say they are attracted to the disciplines of prayer, the emphasis within Islam on submission to God and the religion's affinity with people who are oppressed.

Some blacks are also suspicious of US government warnings about the emergence of new enemies since the 2001 attacks because of memories of how the establishment demonised civil rights leaders Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
As a result, they are willing to view Islam as a legitimate alternative to Christianity, the majority religion among US blacks.

"It is one of the fastest-growing religions in America," said Lawrence Mamiya, professor of religion at Vassar College, speaking of Islam among black Americans.

He said there were up to 2 million black US Muslims but acknowledged there are no precise figures.

Pop superstar Michael Jackson has confirmed his conversion to Islam, according to reports in the Middle East.The Arab-Israeli newspaper Panorama claims Jackson has announced the move and revealed plans to move to Bahrain, where he has bought property.The singer's Muslim brother Jermaine yesterday claimed the Thriller hitmaker had taken interest in the religion since he converted in 1989 - and had been considering converting himself following his acquittal on child abuse charges in 2005.

Jermaine said: "When I came back from Mecca I got him (Michael) a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it's peaceful and beautiful."He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace."I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam.

"He could do so much, just like I am trying to do. Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much."

Feb 26 (Reuters) -Three French nationals, some of them Muslims, were shot dead in Saudi Arabia on Monday in what appeared to be a militant attack, the Interior Ministry said.

There have been no major attacks targeting foreigners since 2004, when the campaign launched by al Qaeda to topple the U.S.-allied Saudi monarchy was at its height.

Abu Sayyaf killed, 13 soldiers wounded in clash (Religion of Peace Alert)

MANILA -- Al Qaida-linked militants fleeing Philippine troops took shelter in the camp of a Muslim separatist group that has a peace deal with the government, sparking a battle that wounded at least 13 soldiers, officials said Monday. Members of the brutal Abu Sayyaf group, target of a months long US-backed offensive on Jolo island, tried to evade troops by entering the camp of the Moro National Liberation Front on Sunday, Marine Brigadier General Ben Dolorfino said.

Reports from the area said six Abu Sayyaf guerrillas were killed, Army spokesman Major Ernesto Torres Jr. said. No bodies were recovered, however. The MNLF used to be the largest Muslim group fighting for a separate Islamic homeland in the southern Philippines until it settled for limited autonomy and signed a peace agreement with Manila in 1996.

MUSLIM TEXTS TEACH ANTI-JEWISHNESS

“As to when there will be peace with Israel? Never, according to the schoolbooks,” per Jerusalem Post’s Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook.
Instead of teaching Muslim children that one day there could be peace between Muslims and Jews, the school texts instruct just the opposite.

“Anyone who hopes for peace should be horrified by the content of the latest set of Palestinian schoolbooks. In many respects, these new books for Grade 12, written by Fatah-appointed Palestinian educators, are the worst of the textbooks produced by the Palestinian Authority since 2000.”

Interestingly, this is in keeping with most evangelical understanding of biblical prophecy, that is, that there is no man-made peace in the Middle East. The biblical students conclude that peace will come to the Middle East only when the Prince of Peace, Christ, returns in His Second Advent. Then He will establish a global holy reign, ruling both politics and religion from the Holy City, Jerusalem.
Until then, war will escalate in the Middle East, primarily between the ancestors of Ishmael and Isaac.

Ishmael started the line of Arabs. Isaac started the line of Hebrews. Ishmael was the illegitimate child of Abraham and servant girl, Hagar. Isaac was “the child of promise” born to Abraham and Sarah after they had passed child bearing age.
Now these Palestinian Authority texts foster increased tension between present-day “Ishmael” and “Isaac,” just as the two men fought one another as recorded in the Book of Genesis.

“These newest books deny Israel’s right to exist, anticipate its destruction and define the conflict with Israel as religious, not merely territorial.
“Israel’s right to exist is denied and Israel’s founding is called a theft: ‘Palestine’s war ended with a catastrophe that is unprecedented in history, when the Zionist gangs stole Palestine and expelled its people from their cities, their villages, their lands and their houses, and established the State of Israel’ (Arabic Language, Analysis, Literature and Criticism, grade 12, p. 104). Israel is called: ‘the Zionist entity,’ and ‘Zionist Enemy.’ Israel’s existence since 1948 is an ‘occupation’ (ibid pp. 104, 122).”

Is there then, according to the Muslim texts, any hope for the future? Yes. It is the hope that Muslims will extinguish the Jews from the planet. Other than that, all will be war. Israel will be destroyed. Palestinians will find their eventual freedom due to the disappearance of the Jews.

Biblical prophecy states nothing of the sort. Instead, New Testament prophecy, especially in the apostle Paul’s Letter to the Romans, holds that there will be a genuine spiritual revival among the Jews when they recognize Jesus as the true Messiah. Paul prays for his own people that even in the first century that revival will start.

Today we witness Jews for Jesus, messianic Jews, and evangelistic agencies given over to convince Jews via the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah / Christ.

The Muslim texts “anticipate this future destruction of Israel by painting a picture for the Palestinian child of a world in which Israel already does not exist. The place of Israel is marked as ‘Palestine’ on all maps, and ‘Palestine’ is defined as a dawla - the Arabic word for state,’ not a geographical region.
“This ‘state’ is said to have water access to both the Mediterranean and the Red seas, a situation possible only in a world without Israel. (Physical Geography and Human Geography, grade 12, p. 105) Likewise, the size of ‘Palestine,’ the ‘state,’ is said to be more than 10,000 sq. km., a situation possible only if Israel does not exist, since the West Bank and Gaza Strip together total only 6,220 sq. km.
“Because Israel has no right to exist, and must be fought and destroyed for Islam, violence and terror against Israel since its founding are justified and glorified as muqawama, resistance.”

Such texts go hand-in-hand with television programming for Muslim children in which Jews are called “pigs” and “descendants of monkeys.” Muslim boys and girls are taught from birth that the Jews are anathema, must be eliminated, and are enemies to Allah. Therefore, generation upon generation, Muslims are instructed that the chief plague on the planet is embodied in the Jews.

“It is clear that the newest PA schoolbooks are a tragic recipe for incessant war. Israel is presented as an illegitimate enemy to be hated, fought and destroyed. Even the most well meaning student is left with no justification or religious option to accept Israel as a neighbor to live beside in peace.”

Dutch politician doubts Muslim ministers' loyalty

Amsterdam.

The leader of a Dutch anti-immigration party will call for a vote of no-confidence in two Muslim government ministers next week, citing their dual nationality as the issue, a newspaper reported on Saturday, as cited by Reuters.

Geert Wilders said in an interview with the Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad the appointment of Moroccan-born Ahmed Aboutaleb and Turkish-born Nebahat Albayrak as junior ministers was wrong because both could have loyalties towards countries other than the Netherlands.

Wilders, whose Party for Freedom (PVV) party won 9 seats out of 150 in the November election, said he will call for a no-confidence vote when the cabinet discusses its policy plans in parliament. The new cabinet, formed by Christian Democrats, Labour and the Christian Union and sworn in on Thursday by the Dutch queen, is expected to soften immigration policy, which had been tightened under the previous coalition in response to the rise of the populist Pim Fortuyn in 2002.

Maverick politician Fortuyn broke taboos with his criticism of Muslim immigrants before he was murdered by an animal rights activist. In Saturday's interview, Wilders said: "I do not want to live in a country where some day six or seven members of cabinet could be Muslim," adding that Islamic laws were "barbaric", referring to four people who were beheaded in Saudi-Arabia this week.

"I want to encourage Muslims to leave the Netherlands voluntarily. The demographic development should become such, that the chance is small that we again have two Muslims in the cabinet."

About 1 million Muslims live in the Netherlands out of a population of 16 million. Last week Wilders called on Muslims to ditch half the teachings in the Koran and said he would chase Islam's Prophet Mohammad out of the country if he were alive today.

The Iranian embassy called those remarks "spiteful", while the Saudi Arabian embassy held talks over the comments with Dutch foreign ministry officials.

Saudi Arabia mum over Lankan queries on execution and public display

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has ignored a query made by Sri Lanka last Wednesday regarding the execution of a fourth Sri Lankan convict Shamila Sangeeth Kumara, as he was only sentenced to 15 years for his part in an armed robbery.

Along with this inquiry Sri Lanka also made a request for the return of the bodies of those beheaded.

Sri Lanka made the inquiry through our embassy in Riyadh on Wednesday after the sudden executions of Victor Corea, D.D. Ranjith de Silva, Shantha Pushpakumara and Shamila last Monday without any intimation to our mission or their families. All four were convicted in October 2005, without the benefit of any legal counsel, for armed robbery committed in the previous year.

The four men were convicted of “forming a criminal gang which robbed a number of companies and threatened accountants and workers with weapons, shooting one of them and stealing his car,” the official Saudi Press Agency had reported on Monday, citing an Interior Ministry statement.A Foreign Ministry official here said that till Friday evening there had been no reply from the Saudis. Friday is also a public holiday in the Kingdom. In the past Saudis have not been repatriating bodies of convicts that they executed.

Earlier Sri Lanka had appealed twice to the King of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah for clemency, but both appeals had been ignored as well.

Observers said that in addition to beheading the four Sri Lankans, the Saudi court had ordered the bodies of the four beheaded Lankans to be displayed in a public square.

Muslims demand religious freedom in all free countries they enter. They do not give that to Christians in Muslim countries. Their hypocrisy is glaring.

“Fakiha Atta tearfully recalls the incident that took the life of her 78-year-old husband Noshi. He failed to return home after a Friday morning church service. She sent her youngest son, Maher, back to the church to fetch him,” per Gary Lane of CWNews.

“When Maher arrived at the church, he noticed a pool of blood at the entrance and a trail of blood leading from the church up the hospital steps next door. He ran to the hospital emergency room, where he saw doctors and nurses treating a number of church members in blood-soaked clothes. A doctor told Maher that the injured Christians had been stabbed during an attack at the church.
“Maher says he was shocked after the doctor led him to his deceased father’s bedside.
“He told CBN News that no one could possibly know how he felt after seeing his father’s wounds. He says he suffered a mix of emotions — astonishment, sorrow and pain. Maher wept uncontrollably and wondered how anyone could have murdered his father. His father had no enemies and was loved by everyone.
“The Atta Girgis family learned a Muslim radical wielding two long knives stormed into the entrance of the church and stabbed several people while shouting, ‘god is great!’ and ‘death to infidels!’”

When these atrocities occur, little if nothing is done by the authorities. They too are Muslim. They too read the Koran and its demands that non-Muslims be put out. Therefore, why should Christians be guarded when they are to be extinguished?

What is the Jizyah tax?

Surah 9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”

i.e. second class citizens, even if they live in their homeland. We see this put into practice in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Sudan, and all the Middle Eastern countries that were conquered by Muslims in the first 100 years of Islam.

The ancestors of the Christians who live there now suffered a lot to stay Christian.So those that impose the tax is what is considered is the absoluteness of the utterance, not the specialization of the reason for the revelation.

Islam's Mohammed: The False Prophet that Deceived the World

Immediately following the 1983 bombing of the U.S Marine barracks in Lebanon, which killed 241 US Marines, President Ronald Regan ordered the withdrawal of all US forces from the area.

In reflecting back on his decision to do so, that decision would become one of the worst foreign policy errors in US history simply on the basis that it rewarded a victory to Islamic militants for their murderous, inhumane act and since that day, the world has witnessed a steady rise in terror by these militants.

Their targets are often broad in scope, and although collateral damage frequently kills their own, the focus of their attacks are consistently on non-Islamic peoples - 'infidels,' as defined by the Qur'an.

To better understand the hate fueling modern day Islamicism, one must first look back to its roots. From Ishmael, whose birthright was denied, to Esau and Jacob - rivaling twins, the seed of hate was sewn. What evolved thereafter was a bitter, jealousy that has been passed down to every Arab generation since.

Both the western media and the Arab press routinely offer biased, politicized answers to what they believe drives this Islamic hatred for the west. From 'US support for Israel' to 'US secularism,' we've heard them all, and despite attempts to justify their inhumane acts, the truth is, Muslims have been committing terrorist acts for some 1,300 years - long before 'western culturalism' or 'US support for Israel' ever existed. What truly is at the heart of the Islamists hatred today is no different than that which fueled Mohammed's hatred as he wrote the Qur'an. It is the belief and goal of a one-world, global Islamic empire run by Qur'anic Law whereby everyone must, in the end, convert to their fundamentalist ideology or face beheading.

The hatred that fuels this theocracy dates back to Ishmael and his son-in-law Esau, and from there, compounded to form the foundations of Islamicism which is the reason why most of the world conflicts today involve Muslims.

Supermosque for 70,000 'will be blocked'

Controversial plans to build a "supermosque" on the doorstep of the London Olympics will be blocked by the Government.


Ruth Kelly's Whitehall department is expected to refuse planning permission for the London Markaz, which would be the biggest religious building in Britain with room for 70,000 worshippers.
Backers want the £300 million mosque, in east London, to serve as a reception centre for athletes and fans from Islamic countries during the 2012 games.

The group behind the plans is Tablighi Jamaat, a Muslim missionary sect whose charitable trust, Anjuman-e-Islahul Muslimeen, has owned the 18-acre site since 1996. Tablighi Jamaat was called "an ante-chamber for fundamentalism" by French security services. Two of the July 7 London suicide bombers are believed to have attended one of its mosques.
The organisation denies any link to terrorism, and has never been banned.

Congress is pushed into the corner of indecisiveness, political networking for votes back home, is handed a war many now seated there did not create, and is sloshed into a civil war halfway around the planet that is controlled by street gangs.

Bush counsels for billions of dollars to combat a civil conflict governed by street gangs. What will those dollars do to make any difference for peace? Nothing but waste taxpayers’ moneys.

Wilders refuses apology to Saudi Arabia

AMSTERDAM – Faction leader for the Freedom Party Geert Wilders is not considering making any apology to Saudi Arabia for his recent comments on the Koran. He said this on Sunday in response to a report in the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan, which wrote that the Islamic country has complained to the Dutch government about the comments.

A spokesperson for the ministry of foreign affairs in The Hague said on Sunday that the Saudi ambassador had in fact done so “informally.” There has not been any official complaint however, he said.
The newspaper claims that the Saudi embassy in The Hague demanded that Wilders recant his comments and apologise to Muslims. The MP said he would not even consider it.

“Are they completely mad? It is scandalous that a country that does not recognise freedom of speech is telling me what to do. They had better learn that as an MP here you are allowed to say what you want.”

Wilders said earlier this week in an interview with newspaper De Pers that Muslims should tear out and discard half the Koran if they want to live in the Netherlands. Wilders also said that the Koran contains “plenty of terrible things.”

Boy slave 'crucified' by Sudanese Muslim

A Sudanese slave who was assigned to watch his Muslim master's camels was "crucified" when he was caught sneaking out to attend a Christian church, according to reports from Voice of the Martyrs.

The aid organization that helps persecuted Christians worldwide said the reports come from witnesses in the Sudan who were in contact with the youth, now about 15.

Damare Garang was seven when the attack happened, officials said. He had been captured by Islamic soldiers when his Sudanese village was attacked, and then sold as a slave to a Muslim family in Tuobon, Bahr el Gazel.

His duties were to tend the master's camels, but one day one fled.
"How could you do this? You will surely have to pay! You stupid slave, I should just kill you now," he was told.
However, the child escaped any injuries at that point.

Then the following day Damare, who had been raised in a Christian family, sneaked away for a time to a small church service across the village.
His master was waiting when he returned.
"Where have you been?" he was asked, and partly from fear and partly from not having another answer, he said, "to church."

"You have made two grave mistakes," the slave master said. "Yesterday you lost one of my camels, and today you worship with infidels!"

The master went to a barn and returned with a large board, some rusty spikes and a hammer, the report said.

"Frozen in fear, Damare was dragged out to the edge of his master's compound where he was forced to the ground with his legs over the board," the VOM report said. "The savage brutality of the master was unleashed as he proceeded to drive the long nails through Damare's knees and then nail his feet securely onto the board."

While Damare was screaming in agony, the slave master simply walked away.
The boy's help arrived in the form of a Good Samaritan who happened by, and saw the small boy. The man sneaked into the compound and carried the boy to a hospital where the board and nails were removed.
Damare later was released to the custody of his helper, with whom he lived for the next 18 months.

Once again, then, there was a militia attack on his village, and he was separated from his protector. When the Islamic army soldiers were driven off, a commander of village forces recognized Damare's speech as being of the Dinka tribe, and took charge of him.

That commander eventually adopted Damare, who now lives in Mario Kong.
He remains disappointed he is unable to run quickly like other boys, but he says he's forgiven his attacker, because Jesus was nailed to a cross to forgive all sins.

"Before leaving, we gave Damare a care package with mosquito netting, soap, new clothing, shoes, a hat, a new Bible, a soccer ball, and a fishing line and hooks," said the VOM report by Tom Zurowski.

"Please tell the Christian children in America to remember to pray for the children of Sudan," Damare told his visitors.

When Lee Williams saw a parent-and-toddler session advertised at his local pool, he thought it was the perfect chance to teach his young daughter to swim.
Arriving at the leisure centre already in her swimming costume, two-year-old Darby was desperate to get into the water.

But she was left in tears when staff said they were not allowed in the pool because the session was for Muslim women and their children only.

Mr Williams, 34, bitterly criticised Manchester City Council yesterday after it admitted that advertising for the session, on its website and on leaflets, had been misleading. 'I can understand why Muslim women need to have this kind of session, but the council should not be advertising it as parent and toddler,' he said.

'They made out I'd got it wrong, but I had checked on the council's website for the times.'
The incident happened at Abraham Moss Leisure Centre in Crumpsall. Mr Williams, a delivery driver from Blackley, had seen the parent-and-toddler session being promoted on the council's website and a leaflet.
But when they arrived, reception staff told Mr Williams he could not swim with Darby because it was a women-only session and they would have to come back later. Despite his protests that he had specifically checked the time of the session, the staff were insistent.

It was only when he telephoned the council to complain that he was told the session had been privately booked for Muslim women.
According to Islam, women are forbidden from exposing their bodies to any man but their husband.

A spokesman for Manchester City Council apologised to Mr Williams. He said: 'We were sorry to hear that he had been turned away. We are ensuring that our website is updated and staff are briefed so this does not happen again.'
The incident is the latest in a series of rows between local authorities and the public over swimming lessons for ethnic minority groups.
In December last year, Croydon Council in South London came under fire for running Muslim-only sessions at one of its leisure centres.

Non-Muslim members of Thornton Heath leisure centre were angry that they could not swim during the Muslim-only sessions on Saturdays and Sundays unless they obeyed the strict dress code.
For men, this involved wearing shorts which kept the navel hidden and were extended below the knee, while women bathers had to wear a swimming costume which covered their body from the neck down to the ankle.

Similarly, Wolverhampton Council and South Lanarkshire local authority have also been criticised for operating women- only swimming for Muslims.

AMSTERDAM – If Muslims want to stay in the Netherlands, they should tear out half the Koran and throw it away. And they shouldn’t listen to the imam. Faction leader of the Freedom Party (PVV) Geert Wilders said this in an interview with daily newspaper De Pers on Tuesday.

He said the holy book of Islam contains “plenty of terrible things.” Wilders said once again that Islam is a violent religion. “If Mohammed lived here today, I would propose he be tarred and feathered as an extremist and driven out of the country,” he said.

The politician wants to impress on people that Islam is “the greatest danger threatening us.” He says that other political parties avoid topics like this.

“Everything we are proud of, we are selling to the devil. Former head of the Mossad Efraim Halevy says that World War III has begun. I would not use those words, but it’s true,” said Wilders, who in the past has voiced his fear of a “tsunami of Islamisation in the Netherlands.”

Wilders: “Take a walk down the street and see where this is going. You no longer feel like you are living in your own country. There is a battle going on and we have to defend ourselves. Before you know it there will be more mosques than churches!”

3: The ACLU cries and whines about ANY civil rights issue, yet when it comes to coming to the aid of two border patrol agents who were illegally convicted by an arrogant prosecuter and an incompetent judge, and then beaten up in jail, with admission from Homeland security that they lied about the evidence against these men, clearly violating these guys’ “civil rights”……All I hear from the ACLU is….*crickets*……………*crickets*….yea you guessed it. Why the ACLU haven’t brought up on RICO statutes and charged with sedition and treason is beyond me.
4: We KNOW we’re bound to lose in ‘08 because of the current incompetence of our leadership, which just brings gloom and doom to my brain when I think about Hillary/Obama/Gore leading the free world.

5: Iran is thumbing their nose at the rest of the world world while we(UN) sit back and watch them incite genocide against the world, build their nuke, and eventually follow through with their threats, while the “UN-hope for peace” campaign continues on.

6: Our President pardoned 18 people in December ‘06, with 5 of them being drug dealers. Yet, he is either totally blind and his aides are not “aiding and informing” him, or he is completely ignoring the case, and making an example of someone who wants to “mess with illegals”. Why he would pardon 18 people including 5 drug dealing felons, yes can’t take the time to look at the current case which has the American people outraged, is exactly that….an OUTRAGE.

7: CAIR continues to aid the enemy with no discourse. Nobody does anything. Just a bunch of pissed off bloggers ranting about this fanatic organization.

8: The Border is still WIDE OPEN with hundreds flooding in every day…… GG, Congress!

9: The Republican Party as a whole has drifted so far from the conservative base, that the party is splitting….splitting bad. The Reagan/Goldwater base that defined the ideology of conservatism and republicanism is dead. Gone are the days that I can be really proud of the party I associate with. Looks like a “Independent Conservative” candidate could really capture the minds of many “independent moderates” on the left and right.

Passengers beat up hijacker

Passengers on a hijacked Air Mauritania flight ended their ordeal when they stormed the cockpit and beat up the lone gunman after the aircraft landed in the Canary Islands on Thursday night, Spanish police said.

As armed police surrounded the Boeing 737 on the runway, five passengers and the co-pilot burst into the cockpit and knocked the hijacker to the ground before beating him up. “When we landed at Las Palmas . . . we entered [the cockpit] and hit him and knocked him down,” one passenger said. The fight gave the crew time to let in security forces, who arrested the man.

Spanish police could not confirm reports that the pilot had deliberately braked hard on landing, knocking the hijacker off his feet and that he had then been jumped on by passengers. The hijacker fired two bullets during the scuffle, but no one was seriously hurt. (Reuters)

“’My intention is not to offend women but to safeguard them from sex maniacs. Besides, husbands could also feel more secure, if you know what I mean.
“’We have even come across a number of unusual sex cases, where even senior citizens and children are not spared.

The best way to avert sex perpetrators is to wear protection,’ Abu Hassan said in a sermon late Thursday, quoted by the Star daily, per Kuala Lumpur of dpa.

This statement is from a Malaysian Muslim cleric, a “leading cleric.” He contends that all Islamic females should be equipped with chastity belts.
He makes no comment in his sermon that Muslim males should be more disciplined than to mistreat females, particularly sexually using them, then killing them.

Saddam Hussein and sons were known for doing just that for years when ruling Iraq. Some of Hussein’s own female relatives had to watch diligently over their own daughters, nieces and granddaughters. Some of these younger women disappeared during Hussein’s palatial evening functions, such females never to be seen again.

When Muslim males can marry up to four wives, have “ten minute” wives by which to engage in sex without entering into prostitution because the woman “used” is a “ten minute” spouse, it would behoove the cleric to speak to his male audience about restraint.

When extremist Muslim males in Europe declare that European non-Muslim females are “sluts” because of the way they dress — that is, without the full body covering — the cleric could spend some sermonic sentences correcting the Muslim male perception of non-Muslim females. Because of these Muslim males’ attitudes toward these European women, many of the latter are raped on the spot. That is not regarded as a crime but a holy offering to Allah, per radical Muslim male religious tenets.

“Abu Hassan Al-Hafiz, an influential cleric from the northeastern Terengganu state, said that women were most safe from sexual predators if they donned some form of barrier to their sexual organs.”

In other news, in Bangkok, Thailand, reports come out that Muslims have slain a hunter and his dog, then burning them up in southern Thailand, per police logs via AP.

“The charred bodies of Witsanu Saelim, a 19-year-old Buddhist, and his dog were discovered by villagers on a roadside in Narathiwat province, said police Lt. Phattharakorn Sriburin. The two had gone out to hunt wild animals in the jungle Friday evening.
“Three bullet wounds were found in Witsanu’s head and torso and his head had been slashed by an ax, the police officer said.

“More than 2,000 people have been killed in drive-by shootings, bombings and other attacks in the three Muslim-dominated southernmost provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat since the separatist insurgency erupted in 2004.
“Buddhist monks and laymen have been prime targets of violent attacks in the past three years. Insurgents often leave leaflets at the scenes of violent attacks, ordering Buddhists to leave the region, where they aspire to carve out an independent Islamic state.”

All the while European leaders are questioning the “nativist surge” of Muslim immigration there. They are puzzled as what to do with the Muslim “aliens” in their midst. The non-Muslims confess to media that these radical Muslims have customs and “values” that are at odds with European civility. Yet Muslims continue to influx the European countries.

The European leaders then turn on their own by scolding non-Muslims in not integrating Muslims more quickly and efficiently. What these leaders do not understand is that the scolding needs to be directed toward extremist Muslims. These extremist Muslims do not enter a non-Muslim country to dialogue for community betterment. They enter to dictate, just as they are doing in Thailand. In this Thai case, they dictate via bullets and dead bodies such as the hunter and his dog now burnt to crisps.

On another front per Daily Times’ Masood Khan in Khar Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Ghani Khan, well known senior government official, was slain by a “remote-controlled roadside bomb” in Salarza, a village northeast of Khar. He had attended a tribal council meeting to “convince people to immunize their children against polio.” For that, he was murdered. Three others were also slain in the blast.

Misinformed Muslims were telling villagers not to cooperate with the doctor and his vaccinations. The villagers were fearful of the medical treatments.
“Dr Ghani was visiting the area to allay misperceptions about the vaccination.”
However, enemies to the doctor were indoctrinating the locals into thinking the doctor was on the side of the United States to do them in. He was cooperating with a military foe to ruin their lives, therefore, they were fearful of the polio vaccines.
“Tribal (Muslim) militants are suspected to be behind the attack. The Friday’s attack is the second since February 5 when a pro-government elder was killed in a similar fashion.”

On still another front, Nirupama Subramanian’s The Hindu News Update Service reports that “Pakistan is in shock as terror struck again in the form of a suicide-bomber who blew himself up on Saturday in a crowded courtroom in the Balochistan capital Quetta killing at least 17 people including himself. The attack wounded 30 others, and some of them are in critical condition. This is the seventh terror attack in three weeks.”

It is puzzling that with such news data circling the globe constantly in past decades, Western leaders such as President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair began Operation Iraqi Freedom by announcing that Islam is a “religion of peace.”

Were these two leaders not aware of the carnage history catalogued against extremist Muslim terrorists? Obviously this detail did not reach such powerful personages for they continued such peace litany ad infinitum. Many in the Western world’s grassroots believed them for they were ignorant of the Islamic theology based on the Koran’s killing and maiming verses.

Now the world is gradually becoming more knowledgeable concerning such violence as reported by The Hindu News Update Service.
“The police confirmed that the attack was a suicide bombing on the basis of a badly disfigured severed head found at the spot.

“Quetta is home to several thousand Afghan refugees. President Pervez Musharraf recently said these camps had become recruiting grounds and safe havens for the Taliban fighting in Afghanistan.

“The bomber blew himself up at about 11 am, when the district court premises is usually buzzing with activity.
“Aside from the courts, the offices of transport licensing and registration authorities are also in the same premises. Hundreds of people are present in the premises at any given time on a working day.

“Among those killed was the judge hearing cases in the court where the bomber detonated himself, several lawyers and others. The string of recent bomb attacks has led to raised levels of security country-wide. Police arrested three suspected bombers from Sukkur in Sindh after the Quetta bombing, while three others, also suspected suicide-bombers were arrested in Karachi on Friday. Police said they had ‘confessed’ to having links with Al Qaeda.

“Two incidents in the capital were foiled before the attackers could carry out their plans, one at a five-star hotel and the other at the airport.”

Many have concluded that Islam is not a religion of peace but a religion of pieces — pieces of mutilated bodies and destroyed lives as well as threatened civil governments.
