BIBLE POWER CONVERTS YOUNG MUSLIM

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of Hamas’ founding members, is now a Christian—an evangelical believer.

He once was committed to Islam World Rule via the Koran dictates.

One day a man handed him a Bible. He read it. What stunned him was Jesus’ words to love one’s enemies. The love ethic of Jesus won over Yousef to Christianity, deserting Islam.

This could mean the young man will be slain as the Koran dictates. Those who forsake Allah for another religion are to be slaughtered.

Note this one representative passages from the Koran:

Quran Surah 3: The Family Of 'Imran

1. Those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, theirs will be a heavy doom. 4
2. Those who disbelieve will be fuel for the Fire. 10
3. Those who disbelieve shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell. 12
4. Those who disbelieve, promise them a painful doom. 21
5. Theirs will be a painful doom. 77
6. All non-Muslims will be rejected by Allah after they die. 85
7. Disbelievers will have a painful doom. And they will have no helpers. 91
8. Disbelievers will have their faces blackened on the last day. They will face an awful doom. 105-6
9. Those who disbelieve will be burnt in the Fire. 116
10. The Fire is prepared for disbelievers. 131
11. We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Their habitation is the Fire 151
12. Theirs will be an awful doom. 176
13. Disbelievers do not harm Allah, but will have a painful doom. 177
14. Disbelievers will have a shamful doom. 178
15. Disbelievers will go to Hell. 196

Yousef says that if he is slain, it will be nothing in comparison to what Jesus did for all who repent of their sins to discover salvation through Jesus’ shed blood on Calvary.

Of course, martyrs down through centuries have concluded the same. Nothing can match the sinless sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. That was God offering Himself in order to take the place of sinners, in order to satisfy heaven’s justice. That was divine mercy extended from eternity to Earth for all who accept the redemptive offering.

Yousef speaks simply and honestly when asked about his conversion to Jesus. He, once aligned to Allah, especially under the influence of his powerful father, now believes that his father is near to accepting Jesus as personal Redeemer.

Yousef also believes that Islam is imploding. He holds that in ten years it will be no more. It offers nothing. He says that thinking Muslims know that nothing is nothing to exist for. Therefore, the present Muslim mayhem will collapse.

"Islam is not the word of God," said Yousef. "If you want to be offended it's your problem. But you know something? Go study. Think for a second that I might be right. So wake up, look at your path, see where you're going. Are you really going to heaven with 72 virgins after you kill yourself and kill another 20 people?"

With that, Yousef repeats that Muslim mayhem will fall in upon itself.

When that happens, it will be because of Jesus. It will be the result of God ruling over His creation as He always writes the major lines of history while mortals are given the free will power to pen the minor lines.

Presently Yousef shelters with evangelicals, fellowships with them, worships in their humble sanctuary in the U.S. West. He is embraced by those who have become saved by Jesus’ love. They sing “Amazing Grace.” They pray simply to Jesus. They sit on folding chairs in their unadorned church in order to praise the exalted name of Jesus.

Yousef credits the Bible for his new life.

Genuine Christians knows full well that it is the Bible that is the Word of God. Yousef refers to the Koran as laden with contradictions. He points to its insane passages calling for blood. He refers to its lies espousing peace. He knows that the Koran is demonic. With that, he has discovered in his soul the biblical truths to be divine revelation.

Yousef gives forth the time-honored testimony of the redeemed. When sincere, that witness always focuses on Jesus, not a system. It always points to the Bible, not a human hierarchy. It praises the love ethic of Christianity in comparison to the confused so-called ‘holy writs’ of man-made religions.

Yousef is correct in his analysis that Islam is collapsing. He knows. He feels it. He has been there. He realizes what is going on as a mighty front is really a fragile framework.

He is aware of the braggadocio and paranoia within all of Islam. Islamics are afraid. Trust is nonexistent. Fear cannot construct a noble culture. It cannot last.

Yousef as a disciple of Jesus is one of the most remarkable testimonies this hour to the power of Scripture. It should encourage every believer to continue the humble mission of sharing the Bible with whomever. As the Spirit leads. One never knows when that humble handout can change not only a life but a society.
