Men cut themselves and their children so that blood runs down over their bodies.
This is an annual "celebration" in which even the tiny babies are included. Muslims knife their flesh so that blood flows over their heads, down onto their shoulders, onto their torsos.
It is called the "Holiday of Ashoura." It remembers the martyrdom of Hussyn, grandson to Mohammed. It is regarded by Islamics as "one of the most important events in the Shia calendar," according to Religion of Peace via Facts of Israel.com at FactofIsrael.com

In Lebanon, for instance, the blood flows as I type. It is a public ritual of untold pain and neurotic expression conveyed from one generation to the next.
Sadly, the children are given this image of piety from an early age. No wonder then that Islamic youngsters have no fear of blood but instead are taught to thirst for it.
It can be their own or that of an enemy, particularly the blood letting of the "Jew-pig," as boys and girls are instructed to refer to Jews. Muslims consider Jews to be descended from monkeys and pigs.
