Bali bomber 'wounded' in Philippines

Manila — A senior Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) militant wanted for masterminding the deadly nightclub bombings in Bali in 2002 has reportedly been wounded in fighting in the southern Philippines.

General Hermogenes Esperon, the armed forces chief of staff, said Dulmatin was reportedly hurt in clashes with army troops on Aug 9 in Jolo.

"We don't know where he (Dulmatin) was hit," said Gen Esperon, adding that the information was still being verified.
