I WISH I COULD AGREE WITH PRES BUSH’S OPTIMISM

The president said this is why his administration has been working, even to the point of war, to establish democracies in the Middle East."Bush said, ‘The war on terror will be long and difficult and more tough days lie ahead. Yet, we can have confidence in the final outcome, because we know what America can achieve when our nation acts with resolve and clear purpose,’" per UPI via ClairNet.

What will prohibit America with its "’resolve and clear purpose’" from establishing "democracies in the Middle East?"

The answer: Muslim street fighters who are willing to blow up themselves, their children and their neighborhoods. American strong resolve and clear purpose cannot halt a mortal who concludes to snuff out his life and others’ lives by his own suicide.

Those who kill themselves and others simply by willing it when waking up in the morning don’t care about democracies. They don’t care about personal freedoms, parliamentary rule, free elections or a nation given to liberties. They care about "’death and destruction,’" to use President Bush’s own words.

In other words, the world is made up basically of two compartments of mortals. One is Muslim zealots who determine Islam World Rule will eventuate with each Muslim willing to blow himself up if necessary. The second is non-Muslims who desire to live in a free milieu.

That is why Muslim Allah-devotees bent on "’death and destruction’" must be absented from free republics. That is why such Muslims must be cornered in their own countries where they have been destroying one another for centuries.

America cannot overlay a democracy upon a killing cult.

It won’t work, no matter the sacrifice, determination and clear vision of an American agenda.

By and large, democracies can trace their histories back to a Judeo-Christian heritage. That moral biblical baseline provides for the ultimate high regard for each mortal.

Muslim nations have been ruined by their own so-called "holy writ," the Koran, which espouses "’death and destruction.’"

Placing a Judeo-Christian heritage politic upon a "’death and destruction’" politic will never work, no matter the naïve hopes of America.

I wish I could support President Bush in his optimism; but my realism, unfortunately, spells another conclusion than his.
