IRAQI PM FAULTS OUR TROOPS

Grant Swank, Jr.

Will there be more of this yet to come? If so, it’s out NOW for our troops. Bring them home NOW.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nourj al-Maliki, Shiite, did not like multinational troops converging on a location to liquidate anti-Iraqi peacemakers.

Voice of America reports: “U.S. and Iraqi forces raided a Shi’ite militia stronghold in Baghdad before dawn Monday, sparking a gun battle with militants in which at least three people died. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki criticized the raid later, saying it undermined government efforts to promote national reconciliation.”

Note again: “. . .saying it undermined government efforts to promote national reconciliation.”

That’s called backing up our men and women in uniform?

In other reports, he said that he was “very angered and pained” by what the forces had done to eradicate Muslim killers and that what the forces did to bring civility to his country would not be dittoed.

’Reconciliation cannot go hand-in-hand with operations that violate the rights of citizens this way,’ al-Maliki said in a statement on government television. ‘This operation used weapons that are unreasonable to detain someone - like using planes.’”

He apologized to the Iraqi people for the operation and said “‘this won’t happen again.’”
