IRAQ ON ITS OWN DEC 31 06

Iraq's President says so.

Wednesday, August 02, 2006 -- J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Multinational forces are carrying the heavy burden for Iraq security. It's not working. To support the troops, bring them home.Iraq's President Jalal Talabani says Iraqi forces will be responsible for Iraq's security by the close of December - all provinces throughout the country.

Let it happen.

Right now, multinational forces are pressed sadly to be stooges stuck between fighting Muslims. Muslims love to fight. They love to fight one another. Then get the non-Muslims out of Iraq so that the Muslims can slay one another. That appears to be their daily agenda, not surprising considering that Islam allows for Muslims to murder one another for the cause of Islamic world rule. It's stupid; but that's the way Islam "thinks."

Therefore, on with the imploding of Iraq, though disappointing it will be for those who dreamt of a democracy overlaying a Muslim country - the first of its kind.

However, one cannot take a hard-worked democracy such as is in America and make it into a ready-to-sprout democracy plant flowering over a killing cult.

  1. "Nobody Comes Home From War Unchanged"

This quote is from Paul Rieckhoff, Executive Director of the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America IAVA.org/. It links to a short eight minute film about his organization.

Regardless of your political affiliation or opinion of our involvement in Iraq you owe it to yourself and to American's military men and women to watch this video. It helps summarize "The True Cost of War."

  2. Thanks for commenting Reb84. It will be difficult for me to watch any video on this computer as I'm only on dial up, but I promise you I will watch it on another one. I am thrilled that saddam is soon going to be in a hangsman noose, but I have finally come to the conclusion that I don't want our sons and daughters to be "stooges" between the Shia and the Sunni murdering each other, and our guys getting caught in the cross fire. Nothing is going to change, Islam has been against democracy from its inception and just because America wants it to change it wont. The middle east will always be in turmoil, and Iraq will never have a peaceful existance. The only option is that some kind of multi-national forces stay there to insure Iraq does not become like Afghanistan (prior the invasion). I had great hopes for the Iraqi people.I had the typical American mindset that it will all work out , the terror would subside and it would be a peaceful country. I was wrong, and many others are still wrong.1400 years of hate and opression will not be stopped, simply because we wish it to. Best of wishes to you and yours. Jeff Davis
