DEMOCRACY CAN'T BE OVERLAID ON A CULT

America was birthed in the biblical morality. Atheists can contest that till they are blue in the face. It doesn’t matter. The record is there for those into reality-history.

With the Bible the center of the Early Colonies — in their schools, churches, town meetings and homes — that ethic was learned and lived by. Not all learned and lived by. Naturally. This is a spiritually flawed world. Nevertheless, the Bible was there in the center of life — and thinking, philosophizing.
Children learned the Golden Rule. They were taught the story of the Good Samaritan.

They learned of "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so." They were instructed that lying, cheating, stealing, murder and sexual misconduct were wrong — sinful.

The biblical ethic is at the base of our judicial system. It has formed our community ways of life. It has fostered hospitals, clinics, orphanages, inner city missions, welfare agencies, civic organizations, care for the elderly, and educational systems.

Many of our colleges were begun as learning schools to train Christian clergy.
From our biblically moored early towns and villages, missionaries went to other parts of the globe. There they established what they had put in place in America — hospitals, schools, churches, clinics, and agricultural systems.

Much of our biblically formed culture is taken for granted by religious and irreligious. It has become so much a part of our society that it is just "there."
However, take that biblical base away and put in its place a maiming and killing "ethic" and you have Iraq — and every other Muslim nation on the planet.

It is that crucial differential that is destroying Iraq. Iraq is imploding. It is merely a matter of time until multinational forces will leave and the country will implode upon its own blood.

A cursory reading of the Koran oozes blood on every page: "honor killing," lashing teens at town square posts, hangings at the village gallows, genital mutilation, shooting females in the head because they are distasteful to males, slaughtering their own kind — Muslims — for the "good" of the greater cause of Islamic world rule.

Muslim children have not been taught the Golden Rule, the Good Samaritan parable, that there is a Savior who will forgive sins so as to provide the hope of heaven.

They are not taught how to care for others in an orphanage, senior citizen center, downtown mission or rehab for alcoholics and drug addicts. They are not tutored in how to construct a culture of art, sculpture, music, literature and community appreciation.

In place of that which is good and giving, Muslim boys and girls are lectured daily in how to behead an infidel, shoot a "Jew-pig," snuff out their own young lives with a suicide belt, level a building with a grenade, and dismember a non-Muslim.

Look at Iraq right now.

Muslims slaughter one another. Multinational forces stand in the way as referees. Knife-wielding Muslims will not stop when multinational forces leave. They will continue to cut one another up till they have blood flowing like rivers. No doubt they will join with Iran in hanging their young, whipping their teens, and burying their women in dirt up to their breasts so as to bash in their heads.

In short, truthfully and unfortunately that’s about all these Muslims worldwide know from dawn till dark.

What then specifically is missing in Iraq?

After all, US President Bush said that we could plant a democracy in any Muslim country. Now he should know that that is not true.
And the reason? Because America has been fortunate in having a Judeo-Christian heritage for over two hundred years. Though threatened on every hand by those who bedevil how culture, the irreligious have not been able to obliterate the United States of America.

So with that understood, one cannot take America’s well-moored, biblical heritage and overlay it upon a Koran-bound society such as Iraq. It just won’t work for the two are antithetical to one another.
In short, the Bible birthed America. The Koran has already killed Iraq, sadly.

In my opinion again Pastor Swank has it right. If America believes we can stop 1400 years of hatred to Jews, Christians, Non Muslim, and other Muslims in a few years, WE ARE WRONG.

It's not going to happen, no matter what our best wishes are. Children believe in Santa Clause, adults believe for peace in Iraq and the Middle East. How sad it is that the "Santa Clause" of the adult world is peace in Iraq. Either way, Santa and peace in Iraq are both 2 big wishes.

And just not reality.
